Comenius School Project
In our globalized world, in which people of diverse nationalities are increasingly asked to communicate and work together, the need to understand a culture, heritage, traditions, the way of thinking other than one's own, has become of paramount importance to Europe.
In our project, pupils from 5 European countries will engage in a collaborative learning experiences. Through different activities, workshops, video conferences, camps, common blog/website, pupils will build friendships, research and learn about the daily lives and culture of pupils who live in other regions of Europe.
They will broaden their horizon and examine “What makes us who we are?”. Through understanding the past , they will open their minds and hearts to others and create new shared spaces for the present and the future dialogues. They will learn to live together in harmony. The main focus is on the hands on activities, interactions with other children and discovering our cultural backgrounds and create awareness, a European communication and knowledge-management network for language education, develop a basis for long-term cooperation among the project partners and other networks, a reinforcement of cultural expressions as a key competence, produce information about, and ideas for, European multicultural education programs, prepare 'Learning Outcomes' proposals and other basic materials for the continued development of training.
These experiences will be published in our joint website, which will be our main way of sharing information. Pupils will use digital technology and multi media to capture photography and reflections, of both drawings and thoughts/ ideas then use them as a tools to scope, compare different lifestyles, document their investigations, events and even personal experiences.
